"Supporting Each Other with Diabetes" Forum

An AVH Diabetes Education-sponsored forum, "Supporting Each Other with Diabetes," will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Northland Restaurant and Dairy Bar.  The forum is open to the public.  To RSVP or for more information, call Cindy King, RN, BSN, CDE, AVH Diabetes Educator, at 326-5631.

Community Events

AVH Auxiliary, Community to Celebrate Impressions of Care 

The public is welcome to attend a celebration and walkthrough of its beautiful "Impressions of Care" walkway and parks.  The event, scheduled for Wednesday, September 10 from 12:30PM - 2:30PM, will be held in appreciation of the support received to develop the well-lit walkway to the hospital.  The path, which is being used by many North Country residents for outdoor exercise, features serene parks, benches on which to relax and beautiful flowers, trees, shrubs, street lights and banners.  Refreshments will be served near the Auxiliary Park, located at the front entrance to the hospital.  For more information, please contact Edwina Keene at 326-5676.
